At CVN we are passionate about the benefits of learning outdoors in the natural environment and we spend as much time as we can in our local woodland. Over the past months we have been developing a plan to move our service to a brand new purpose built nursery in Gillies Hill Community Woodland. The new building will facilitate immersive and sustained engagement in the woodland environment which in turn will promote the development of environmental awareness, social responsibility and community pride.
This nursery building will provide a secure base for children and support their play and learning opportunities in the outdoors. We also want the building to be a community asset available for use by community groups and organisations supporting their use of the woods too.
We have been working with Inch Architecture to develop our plans; see below for initial thoughts on what the new nursery building could look like.

We have been grateful to have received funding from a variety of sources to help develop our plans.
